Southwest Logistics Hub, Garden City, 2023

Our team was selected to prepare the grounds for the new Southwest Logistics Hub, a growing distribution center serving agricultural and industrial companies across Western Kansas. The project began with full site preparation, excavation, and grading to convert an uneven, wind-eroded lot into a perfectly engineered platform for construction. We installed underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drainage sized for heavy truck circulation. To finish the job, our crew poured high-durability concrete flatwork for loading areas, parking lanes, and access roads. Delivered on schedule, the site now supports high-traffic operations with long-lasting performance.

Prairie Technology Labs Expansion, Garden City, 2022

Prairie Technology Labs required a modern expansion to support new research divisions and agricultural testing facilities. J and R Construction LLC was tasked with transforming the open land behind their existing building. We executed full earthwork and grading, shaping the terrain to meet strict slope and drainage requirements specific to laboratory environments. Our team installed all underground utility lines, including upgraded storm systems to manage Kansas’ heavy seasonal rains. The project concluded with custom concrete foundations, equipment pads, and perimeter walkways, all designed for vibration-resistant performance. The expansion was successfully completed ahead of schedule and is now fully operational.

Kansas BioGrain Processing Plant, Garden City, 2024

For the new Kansas BioGrain Processing Plant, J and R Construction LLC delivered a complete site-development package, consolidating multiple phases under one coordinated team. The work included large-scale excavation and grading across a multi-acre parcel, establishing stable ground for heavy industrial machinery. We installed an extensive utility network, including deep sewer lines, reinforced water systems, and electrical conduits designed for high-demand processing equipment. The final phase featured precision concrete flatwork, from machinery foundations to truck circulation routes and reinforced slab sections. This comprehensive delivery helped the client accelerate construction and begin operations sooner than expected.
